Outlook for July

After seeing above average temperatures during the last half of the month of June, what can we expect for the remainder of summer? I am sure most of you are hoping that the heat wave will not continue, I know I am!

The Climate Prediction Center has issued its latest outlook for the upcoming month and it seems that our temperatures will be cooler than the average for this time of year. The average temperature during the month of July ranges from 87 at the very beginning to 89 towards the middle and end of the month. This would give us a break from the heat during the hottest month of the year. When it comes to precipitation for the month, we should see normal rainfall amounts. The average amount of precipitation during July is 3.80" and we should be about that.
