Flash Flooding Situation

With all of the heavy rainfall we have seen this morning, flash flooding continutes to be a major issue today. The flash flood warning is for the counties of Camden, Morgan, Miller, Phelps, Callaway, and Montgomery through the morning hours into the early afternoon.

Report of areas in Montgomery county along highway 70 that are seeing 3-4 feet of water covering the highway, along with several other smaller roadways having flooding issues. Remember in the event of flash flooding, if you see a roadway covered "turn around, don't drown". You never know how deep the flood waters are since you can not see the roadways. Take the necessary precautions and choose alternate routes. Refer to MoDOT for road closings: http://maps.modot.mo.gov/travelerinformation/TravelerInformation.aspx
