Extreme heat will be moving into the region tomorrow and last through Tuesday! Heat indices will be near 102-110 during the hottest times of day Sunday - Tuesday. Today, though it was hot, was not nearly at hot as it will be tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday.
Remember in extreme heat:
- Limit time outdoors to 30 minutes at a time.
- Drink lots of water! (More than 8 glasses if outdoors)
- Wear loose fitting and light colored clothing.
- If must be outdoors be out during dawn / dusk.
- Check on elderly and neighbors daily to assure health. (Especially if they do not have air conditioning).
Heat without air conditioning these next few days will be dangerous! Please make proper precautions now to assure your health and safety in this dangerous heat!
