Severe Risk for Monday Night!

Hey there!

Well, it looks like severe weather is in store for us Monday evening into Tuesday morning...

Places like Sedalia, Marshall, Chillicothe, Salisbury, Columbia, and Jefferson City should be on the lookout for scattered storms to develop ahead of a cold front. As this cluster of storms form along a cold front, a line of storms is expected to move due East towards areas around Kingdom City, Fulton, Montgomery City, and Vienna. These areas could experience some severe weather as this line of storm move through Monday night into Tuesday morning.

Continue to tune in to KOMU.com and Weatherplus channel 247 on Mediacom and 8.2 on Digital cable.

Monday: The risk for severe weather will hold off until Late Monday.

Hey there! Rainfall totals are always difficult to predict, but in the forthcoming blogs I will make sure to mention roughly what we can expect as far as rainfall amounts are concerned.

As for the next several days, expect quite a bit of rain. Currently flood watches are posted for western counties in our viewing area. This means just be on the lookout for flash flooding when storms move in. As far as the rainfall totals are concerned for tonight, Thursday, and Friday expect roughly around 1" to 3" in heavier downpours. Again, this is a rough estimate, but over the next several days expect rivers and creeks to rise through the weekend.

Thanks for your post!
